Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Well, I fit in well enough, but it's just that feeling that maybe I'd fit in better back there, and when I'm back there I feel like a fish out of water. xP

Well, I'll find somewhere I fit, I'm sure. :] But I'm kinda one of those people that needs to wander. So maybe wandering is my home? I have no idea.
Well, I assimilate to whichever culture I'm in. It's not hard, per se. But the problem is that people stereotype, so when I'm here I occasionally get the "you're not asian enough" and there "you're so americanized". D:
